5 Pal Gear in Palworld You Need to Have

This Pal Gear is a necessity for any Palworld game.

Pal Gear is an incredibly useful part of Palworld‘s technology tree that the player will likely want to spend points on and begin to craft as soon as it becomes available at level 6. There is a lot of Pal Gear for most of the Pals available thus far in the Early Access version of the game, but some of it will undoubtedly be a lot more helpful in things like exploration and battling than others.

The Pal Gear listed here will primarily focus on what’s essential for players in the first half of Palworld. A lot of similar gear can be obtained for much more powerful Pals, but if it’s not available until level 45 then that’s obviously not going to be useful to the majority of players right now.

Nitewing Saddle

There are a number of saddles available prior to the Nitewing Saddle getting unlocked at level 15, but this is the first that allows the player to access air traversal. That transition from being stuck on the ground to being able to ride a massive bird is game-changing and the player will likely find themselves able to access a lot more of the map far more quickly. It’s not unlimited flying, all rideable flying Pals do have a stamina bar, but when paired with a glider the result is the player can soar to high heights without fear.

Eikthyrdeer Saddle

Riding Pals on the ground comes before flying, and there are a number of Pal Gear saddles the player can unlock early on in Palworld, but Eikthyrdeer is likely the best choice. It has some amazing stats, from its high attack to a fast running speed that will make booking it across terrain simple and sudden encounters with hostile NPCs much less intimidating at that stage when there’s a lot in the overworld to fear. This saddle is unlocked at level 12, which is a time when getting an Eikthyrdeer can be a bit of a challenge, but far from impossible.

Daedream/Dazzi Necklace

The necklaces are a tragically underutilized aspect of Pal Gear in Palworld that may be limited for a reason, because of just how OP they can be. If the player crafts a necklace for Daedream or Dazzi and has either (or both) in their battle party once they’ve been obtained, one or both of those Pals will be permanently beside you as you traverse, even when you have a different Pal out as your active battler. This allows the player to have up to 3 different Pals battling alongside them, which can be a major advantage in tough boss fights. Daedream’s Necklace is unlocked at level 8 and Dazzi’s Necklace is unlocked at level 22.

Jolthog’s Gloves

This is one of the most entertaining pieces of Pal Gear on top of being very helpful in a pinch. Once the player has crafted Jolthog’s Gloves, they gain the ability to pick up Jolthog at any time and hurl the little yellow guy like a shock grenade where it explodes on impact creating a massive shockwave. This is great for doing a lot of damage to a group of enemies, especially in fights against Syndicate or Free Pal Alliance hordes. Jolthog’s Gloves are unlocked at level 8 and Jolthog Cryst’s Gloves are unlocked at level 11.

Lifmunk’s Submachine Gun/Pengullet’s Rocket Launcher

This is what everyone’s here for, the “guns” part of that catchy headline, “It’s like Pokemon with guns.” In the early game, Lifmunk and Pengullet are two of the earliest Pals with unlockable gun abilities that can be crafted on the Pal Gear table. They can both be very useful, with Lifmunk doing a lot of extra burst damage while perched on the player’s head and Pengullet doing big damage to groups of enemies with its rocket launcher. Tanzee’s Assault Rifle is also available early on, but it seems to be the least accurate and stable of all the early Pal Gear guns, at least at this Early Access stage of the game. Lifmunk’s Submachine Gun is available at level 11 and Pengullet’s Rocket Launcher is available at level 17.
