This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Many say that Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes the AC back to its roots by bringing back the stealth that Assassins are famous for. In fact, I couldn’t agree more. But besides these stealthy missions and assassinations, there are things that you must do before. After you reach Baghdad, here are the five things that I wish somebody had told me to do first before I started AC Mirage.

Explore The Map By Synchronized Viewpoints

This is a very important detail here, and I would like to put it first on the list. Just like any other Assassin’s Creed game, there are viewpoints around the map. These are called Synchronized Viewpoints, and once you unlock them, your map will be updated with more details.

All you need to do is to climb a certain building or tower and then jump off its highest point, which is usually an eagle’s nest. Do that, and not only will you see around you much easier, but they’ll become your fast travel points. That said, if you choose any of these Synchronized Viewpoints, you can then fast travel there to avoid 10-minute rides around the map in AC Mirage.

Buy Healing Elixirs

Basim is not a Viking, so he won’t use many brutal attacking tactics when it comes to open combat. In fact, there aren’t any specific moves to pull off while the guards are surrounding you. That is why stealth should be the top priority in AC Mirage. However, there are some points in the game where you have to engage in open combat.

Whether you’re an amazing player who parries every attack or not, the enemies will be able to hit you once you’re surrounded. That’s where the healing elixirs come in handy. These items can be found around the map, but you can easily buy them from the shops. Remember to always have two of these in your pocket.

Remember That Basim Is A Thief in AC Mirage

Speaking of pockets, the first thing that you learn in AC Mirage is pickpocketing. Basim is a thief, and it’s his profession to steal good loot from the citizens. Now, while killing citizens is prohibited by The Hidden Ones order, you can still empty their pockets.

You’ll find useful tokens in people’s pockets. These tokens are used in various scenarios to buy a bunch of rebels attacking your enemies, make a musician cause distraction, or tell a group of merchants to help you enter a restricted area. You’ll also find lots of valuable items and materials in Baghdad’s citizens’ pockets, which are very helpful for upgrading gear and gathering some money.

Practice With Enkidu in AC Mirage

Enkidu is not a dog, but he’s an Assassin’s best friend. Every Assassin in Mount Alamut finds an eagle to help him through his tasks. These eagles are the very symbols of the Assassin’s Creed, and it was quite shocking to see a crow taking its place in Valhalla. Now, with AC Mirage, eagles are back, and they’re quite useful to Basim in finding rare items, secret entries, and building stealth strategies.

First, try using Enkidu to find items and rare chests. Then, learn to keep him in the stationery position by pressing the LT/L2 button. Scan the area, tag the enemies, and remember, using Enkidu has no limits. However, if an archer sees him, he’ll shoot it down, and you won’t be able to call your mate before you kill that eagle-killing guard.

Keep it Stealthy From The Beginning

Back in the old days of Assassin’s Creed games, you could just whistle, and the targeted NPC would come to you to have a perfect death. However, this mechanic was nerfed in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla a bit. In fact, a Viking won’t whistle in bushes for a kill as they attack mercilessly, butchering their way through. But for Basim? It’s not the same.

One of the best stealth strategies in AC Mirage is to hide somewhere in the bushes and then whistle to draw a guard’s attention. You can even empty an entire base with this tactic if there are enough bushes around. Remember that open combat is the last option, and get along with stealth tactics like using tools and hiding to progress through the game.

And there you have it! These were the five important things you needed to know before starting Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Now, you can go to Baghdad and make assassination contracts with Roshan and the rest of the brotherhood.

  • Get to know the map by jumping off of Synchronized View Points.
  • Always have as many health elixirs as you can with you, and locate the shops first.
  • Pickpocket anyone you see that carries valuable items.
  • Remember that Enkidu is your best friend for finding items, tagging enemies, and building strategies before action. Master using your eagle.
  • Get along with the stealthy tactics and hide from the guards.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently available to play.
