Want to play Gwent early on your iPhone? Well, now you have a chance. CD Projekt Red has announced that closed beta tests for the popular Witcher card game will begin next week! Players with a free GOG.com account can sign up to participate in this upcoming beta right now. You can sign up for the closed beta here.

The closed beta will officially begin on Tuesday, October 15. Access, however, is expected to be limited, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. As of now, there is no end date for the closed beta, however, the full release is only a few weeks away on October 29.

What is Gwent?

Gwent is a free-to-play card game based on The Witcher universe. The game can either be played alone against the A.I or you can duel against your friend’s intense, heated battles. It is played over the best of three series of rounds to see who will come out victorious. It is developed by CD Projekt Red, best known for The Witcher series and the upcoming hugely-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. It was first released in October 2018 for PC and later came to PS4 and Xbox One in December of that year.

Gwent

In terms of reviews, Gwent did fairly successful. It scores an 80 on Metacritic, with GameInformer giving an 85, EDGE magazine giving an 80 and Gamespot an 8/10
