New Wave Toys has announced the Street Fighter II: Champion Edition X RepliCade mini arcade cabinet. The 12” arcade cabinet is a faithful recreation of the classic fighting game machine and is officially licensed from Capcom.

The arcade machine features a one player microswitch joystick and button setup. The controls have been designed around playing on a small scale without taking away from gameplay.

The Arcade Classic On The Go

The old-school monitor has been replaced with a 3.5” LCD screen, and the arcade machine can be charged for up to two hours of portable play. Those who would like to change settings can do so through the arcade operator’s dip switch settings.

In addition to Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, the mini arcade cabinet also comes with Super Street Fighter II: Turbo edition to play as well. Both games are the original arcade ROMs.

Besides the quality of the games, New Wave Toys puts a clear emphasis on the quality of the overall product. The arcade machine sports an illuminated marquee, high-resolution cabinet art and diecast metal coin doors for storage.

If two-player action is more your speed, the mini arcade cabinet also includes a mini fight stick. When you are not playing, the arcade machine has a storage compartment to show off when not using.

New Wave Toys has also put out mini arcade cabinets for classics Tempest and Centipede, so this is not their first rodeo.

The Street Fighter II: Champion Edition X RepliCade mini arcade cabinet is available through New Wave Toys’ website for $119.99. The mini fight stick is also available to purchase separately for $19.99, but right now is on sale for $14.99.

The purchase of the arcade machine also comes with a USB charge cable, RepliCade arcade tokens and the operators manual.

As more companies put out classic consoles and arcade machines, New Wave Toys hopes to capture those nostalgic for the godfather of fighting games.
