The trailer for the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 will debut at Brazil’s Comic-Con Experience, or CCXP, on December 8th. Director Patty Jenkins will take part in a panel for the upcoming DCEU film. And we’ll finally be able to get a look at the follow-up to what many believe to be the best in that franchise. CCXP will also be live-streaming the panel to Twitter. So, the trailer should be viewable for everyone almost instantaneously. Or you can watch the entire live stream @WonderWomanFilm.

So excited to bring #WW84 to the fans in Brazil! And the world!! Tune in, and see you soon #CCXP! #DayOfWonder #Finally!! pic.twitter.com/wrwTpozXZo

Warner Bros. has kept relatively quiet about Wonder Woman 1984 since it was delayed in October 2018. However, that delay was really a push back to the film’s original release date. DC and Warner Bros. likely didn’t want it released so close to Joker, as they had pushed WW84 up to November 1st, 2019. It now fits snuggly into Summer, releasing June 5th, 2020. It’s for the best as well. Warner Bros. seems to have learned their lesson when it comes to rushing into their shared universe. Only one film released in 2019: Shazam back in April.

Warner Bros. hasn’t revealed much about the plot either. All we know is that it will take place during the Cold War. Gal Gadot is obviously returning as Wonder Woman, as is Chris Pine as love interest Steve Trevor. Kristen Wiig joins as Barbara Minerva aka Cheetah, one of Wonder Woman’s most deadly foes. Other cast members include Pedro Pascal (the upcoming Mandalorian series), Kelvin Yu (Master of None), and Gabriella Wilde (Poldark).

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman

2017’s Wonder Woman was seen as an absolute success for the struggling DCEU, both financially and critically. In fact, it wasn’t long after its release that a sequel was greenlit. Patty Jenkins signed onto a record-breaking deal. And it probably convinced Marvel to finally make their own female-led superhero movie.

Hype for Wonder Woman 1984 is undoubtedly high. Hopefully, this trailer will give fans a small dose of the greatness to come.
