Some of us play video games to escape the real world. In games, earning money is significantly more fun – we can earn money by slaying monsters or robbing banks. The trouble is that gaming comes at a real-world price. A console will set you back at least £200, and on top of that, you need to purchase the games. This is where Black Friday comes in, the magical day after thanksgiving where all your gaming needs may be met for a reduced price. Curry’s/PC World is offering a discount on many of the best triple-A titles out there, but here are the best deals.

God of War – £9.99 (Curry’s)

God of War Black Friday Deal

2018’s official Game of the Year which The Nerd Stash gave 5/5 stars, God of War offers a 25-hour long adventure through Norse Mythology. The game’s story, graphics, and brutal gameplay gained its critical acclaim, making it a must-have for PS4 owners. And don’t worry if you haven’t played any of the other games in the franchise, this game is both a sequel and a reboot which works perfectly as a standalone title. With this Black Friday deal, you would be foolish not to pick up this masterpiece for under a tenner.

Marvel’s Spider-Man – £13.99 (Curry’s and Argos)

Spider-Man Black Friday Deal

Another 5 star game from The Nerd Stash, Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of the PS4’s flagship titles. In Marvel’s Spider-Man, you follow the titular hero in an entirely new story where Peter Parker and Spider-Man’s worlds collide. This game absolutely nails the feeling of being Spider-Man as you swing around New York and beat up goons. Fans of both Marvel and gaming would do well to take advantage of this Black Friday deal.

On top of these games being offered for a less than twenty quid, for a little bit more, Curry’s are offering Red Dead Redemption 2 for only £24.99. The Nerd Stash described it as about as close as you could get to perfect. This Western shooter acts as a prequel to the hit 2010 game, Red Dead Redemption, which features stellar performances and next-level storytelling and performances.

This Black Friday, games are some of the best that the PS4 has to offer and will be perfect for either a gift to a loved one or a wee treat for yourself!
