Just a few months ago, action RPG Children of Morta released on PC to critical acclaim. Shortly after that, the game released on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. With the game now having been out for some time, developer Dead Mage is looking forward to post-launch content for the game. Today, they’ve unveiled an official roadmap of content fans can expect in the coming year. There’s a total of seven planned content updates for the year, all of which look great for the health of the game.

Children of Morta

Starting, we have the Shrine of Challenge update bringing new difficulty modes and an Items pack to the game. This should please players who want more of a challenge from Children of Morta, and the Items pack should please all players of the game. Following that is the Setting Sun Inn update, bringing a new game+ mode for those who wanted it. It will be interesting seeing how Dead Mage adds their twist to New Game+ to make it fresh. Update 3, Bergson’s House, will bring an entirely new character into the game. Who this is and what they do is currently unknown, but will hopefully be just as good if not better than the current roster.

The Fellowship Sanctuary follows that, and will finally introduce online co-op to the game. This is something players have been wanting for quite some time and should bring many players to the game. The Temple of the Endless, as expected, introduces Endless mode to the game. It should be fun for players to compete for the world record survival time. Update 6 will bring another items pack, but Update 7 will bring an entirely new chapter. This will add the most content out of all and is sure to bring a lot of players back to the game.

The first six updates will be entirely free for game owners, while the Update 7: Uncharted Lands will release as a paid expansion.  Regardless, you can expect to have lots to come back to in 2020 for Children of Morta. If you want to read more regarding those updates, you can find that here. If you haven’t played it though, what are you waiting for? It’s highly praised for its rich story and enjoyable gameplay, staying fresh at every turn. Combined with great visuals and sound design, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be playing Children of Morta. You can purchase it on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch for around $30, and we can promise that you won’t regret it.

This isn’t the only games we’re hearing about updates for today. Stardew Valley’s 1.4 updates have officially hit consoles today! You can read more about that here. What were your thoughts on Children of Morta if you played it? Anything from the roadmap you’re particularly excited about?
