The cries of battle, the clanging of steel on steel, the pacing of heavy boots. You can almost taste the sweat. With Ubisoftโs new IP, the battle seems to jump right off the screen.
Described as โa competitive third-person melee fighting game mixing speed, strategy, and team play with visceral close range combat in multiplayer action,โ For Honor separates itself by providing history-philes and huge-weapon lovers with satisfying, bone-crunching team action.
There are three clans to whom you can pledge your allegiance in this game of war. Itโs up to you to decide:

Are you a member of The Chosen? Warrior gypsies clad like samurai hail from the southern deserts, and the heroes who pulled these hardy people through the environmentโs impossible conditions will lead them towards victory over a new homeland.

Are you one of The Legions? A brave, honorable knight who may not live on, yet his glory will. Following the romantic tradition of Sir Walter Scott, The Legionโs roots go deep into their reinforced strongholds, no number of heathen armies can overtake what is theirs.

Or are you The Warborn? Does your blood burn with love of life and love of death? Are you a broad-chested wildling, clad like a child of Vikings, a sailor and raider of the southern coast?
These are the questions the crowd at E3 was presented with as For Honor hit the stage. The Oni, Raider, and Warden classes on each side tore at each other with broadswords.
The vast array of landscapes seem so large and intricate, as are the armies, that it will take a bold heart not to feel small and daunted in the face of the approaching enemy. Truly, a man can win a fight, but it takes an army to win a battle. For Honor gives players the opportunity to experience the adrenaline and danger of a visceral battlefield.
With โArt of Battleโ technology, players will feel the weight of the weapon in theirs hand, feel the crash of blocking an attack and the impact of striking.
For those in Los Angeles at E3, at noon tomorrow there will be a player demo on console. But for those of us not there, register at the For Honor website by June 30th for a chance to be among the first to play, to potentially win prizes, and more.
