E3 2015: The Last Guardian Officially Re-Revealed

After years of waiting, months of speculation amidst some minor leaks, Sony re-revealed the highly anticipated The Last Guardian.  The reveal started the show and was in the form of a gameplay demo.

[gap height=”25″]The demo of The Last Guardian that was shown showed the main character meeting up with his large animal companion.  The two companions went through a few dangerous obstacles, trying to get to another side of a ravine.  Gameplay showed platforming being simple, much like Shadow of the Colossus, which was done by the same studio.Headed by Japan Studios and Sony Entertainment, The Last Guardian was also given a general release date of 2016 at the end of the demo.  Overall the demo lasted roughly 5-10 minutes.

You will be playing as a young boy with a large dragon like companion.

The Last Guardian was originally revealed many years back as a PS3 exclusive.  This past year, there was much speculation that either the game was canceled after not hearing anything since it’s initial reveal or that it was being redone to be made a PS4 exclusive.  The latter seems now to be the case.

The Last Guardian will be available to players sometime in 2016.
