The name Logan Williams may not be familiar, but his face sure is. While many didn’t know his name when The Flash first aired, many will remember his smiles and looks of surprise. His family announced recently that he passed suddenly at age 16. Because of a mandatory social distancing order in Canada, the family is unable to grieve together over the tragedy.

I am not able to hug my parents who lost their only grandchild.

Marlyse Williams, Logan Williams’ mother, shared her sentiments with a publication based in British Columbia.

John Wesley Shipp, the first actor to play a live-action Flash for CBS, describes his feelings as “heartsick” over the news. While Logan Williams only acted as TV’s young Barry Allen, he left a lasting impression.

He was 100% committed to playing young Barry Allen, and we missed him once we moved past that part of the story.

To the young man’s credit is more than just playing a young Barry Allen. He also played a role in The CW‘s Supernatural and in Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart. A colleague from the Hallmark show, Erin Krakow, was sure he would go on to bigger and better things.

He was just shy of 17 and had what I’m sure would have been a very bright future ahead of him.

To re-watch the episodes he was in, they are episodes 1,2,6,9, 13, 17, and 23 of season 1 and the first episode of season 2. He was also in a TV movie called The Color of Rain, which you can watch on Hallmark Movies Now.

Logan Williams’ cause of death currently remains unknown. There is no reason to believe that COVID-19 was the cause. We will update the story as more information becomes available.
