After yesterday’s teaser, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath dropped a trailer featuring new playable characters and stages on top of more time travel shenanigans in its story mode.

NetherRealm released the trailer for their upcoming $39.99 expansion to Mortal Kombat 11. Aftermath drops on May 26th, bringing back a host a series staples and firsts.

The new kombatants are Fujin, Sheeva, and Robocop … wait what? MK11 continues its tradition of adding more guest characters to Mortal Kombat’s cast. Robocop joins Spawn, The Joker, and T-800 Terminator. All are bringing their unique brand of brutality.

The new trailer picks up after Liu Kang defeats Kronika and begins to rewrite history. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa reprises his role as Shang Tsung from the original movie to stop Liu from making a grave mistake. Check it out for yourself below.

Kill Them With Kindness in Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath adds back Friendship Fatalities to the series with the latest edition. Instead of tearing your opponents’ limb from limb, you’ll end that match with overwhelming kindness. But, if that Rainbow Monkey attitude is too soft for you, Stage Fatalities are back to finish players using several deadly environments.

Klassic Stages also make a return featuring fighters like Dead Pool from Mortal Kombat 2 and Soul Chamber from the third entry of the series. Accompanying maps will receive a new coat of paint along with fighters through skin packs, releasing over time.

Players who preorder on PS4 will get a dynamic theme for their home menu. For new players, there is the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection that includes the base game, Kombat Packs, and Aftermath for $59.99. The game arrives digitally in three weeks and physically later in June.

Who do you want to see make a return in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath? What games are you playing at the moment? Does every MK post have to replace the letter c with k? Leave a comment!
