As of Monday, Curse of the Dead Gods has received an exciting new update that adds some hefty new additions to the rogue-lite dungeon-crawling action game. This latest Curse of the Dead Gods content update adds major content that gives players fresh new challenges in the form of new traps, a new epic boss 2 new challenging Champions, and more.

 In addition, alongside the release of this new update, the game has also gone on sale for 20% off. Moving on, here is a summary below of everything that has been added with the Serpent’s Catacombs update.

  • 3 Serpent tiers, each with their own atmospheres and themes.
  • New traps and game mechanics that involve poison.
  • 6 new enemies
  • 2 new enemy Champions
  • 1 new Boss
  • 4 new Serpent Game modes: Short, Medium, Long and Hard explorations

Overall, it seems this update has added a hefty amount of content that will keep players busy for a while. Furthermore, not just new content was added to the game, as there were also some balancing changes that were made. For example, as quoted from the patch notes, “Input buffer: Input buffer has been reduced to 0.2 seconds (from 0.3 seconds)”. 

Another change was in regards to the Bestiary and the unlock conditions for it. Contrary to before, the Bestiary has been adjusted to only be linked to defeating enemies and their elite versions. For the full patch notes, please visit the official update post on steam.

 The Curse of the Dead Gods is a roguelike action game where players will dive face-first into a labyrinthic temple to seek untold riches, divine power, and even eternal life. While on this quest, players will battle horrid monsters and must avoid traps and endless, bottomless pits. The game also has a new trailer that you can find in the link above, that showcases the content added with the Serpent’s Catacombs update.

The Curse of the Dead Gods is available currently on Steam early access and ever since it’s Mar 3, 2020 release the game has amassed over 1,176 user reviews that 88% of which are positive.
