Hot on the heels of yesterday’s PS Plus announcement, Microsoft is getting in on the act by announcing their free games that will be available for Augusts’ Games With Gold. If the recent trailer forย Halo Infinite has made you feel a bit cold towards Microsoft, I would thoroughly suggest that you stop reading now as next month’s Games With Gold offering is quite underwhelming, at least in my opinion.

Maybe I’m being a bit unfair on the games here, as there is still plenty of fun to be had we gaveย Portal Knightsย a very respectable 4/5 when we reviewed it back in 2018. At the time, we said the action RPG was an exciting title that could be recommended to fans ofย Diablo III.ย As you can see in the above image,ย Portal Knightsย will be available to download for the whole of August.

Last but not least isย Red Faction II,ย a fairly famous shooter set on Mars that first came out on the PlayStation 2 back in 2002. Even at the time, Red Faction IIย was fun, but it couldn’t compete with the likes ofย Haloย which had released at the end of the previous year.
The more I look at these titles the more I feel I was too harsh to judge them. There is plenty of great content here, but as always, we’re more interested in your thoughts.
