We’re finally in August huh? Feels like with everything going on this year, we might as well have gone through a full year at this point. At the least, I hope you’ve been spending it as best you can. Hopefully doing some gaming, especially through Game Pass and their titles this year. I’ve worked through a good chunk now and to be honest, they’ve all been solid. That lineup only increases today with a fresh batch of Game Pass titles. Without further adieu, here are your upcoming titles for the first half of August!

Game Pass

Starting us off is Darksiders Genesis, coming exclusively to Game Pass Console. Darksiders is an action-adventure series that truly shines among many, and Darksiders Genesis only furthers that. This title brings us, for the first time, to the time before the original games. Finally, we get a chance to see what times were like prior to Darksiders 1. With co-op gameplay to boot and the fourth horseman, Strife, Darksiders Genesis is a title you don’t want to miss. You can start playing this on your console tomorrow, August 6th.

Following that is It Lurks Below, a smaller title from indie developer Graybeard Games. This survival RPG has you creating a custom character to find out just what lurks below. We don’t mean to spoil, but it’s not anything good that’s for sure. Taking inspiration from classics like Diablo II and Marvel Heroes, It Lurks Below looks to create a fresh experience that still has us reminiscing about our past. Game Pass PC and Console players get access to this odd title beginning tomorrow as well.

Game Pass

After that, we have The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan from Supermassive Games. This is a highly acclaimed title, bringing in some great multiplayer along with much replayability from the Until Dawn developers. On this adventure, five friends are out on a holiday diving trip when a storm comes in. Things, as expected, go terribly wrong. Who will live, and who will die? That’s up to you to decide. Game Pass Console members get access to this narrative masterpiece starting tomorrow.

With that, we’re back to console and PC titles with Trailmakers, a small physics builder from Flashbulb. Have you ever wanted to build machines and vehicles to tackle various missions? If so, then you’ve come to the right place. Trailmakers offers many different ways to tackle missions, only limiting you to your imagination. The question is though, how will you choose to solve each puzzle? The answer is up to you when Trailmakers comes to Game Pass PC and Console tomorrow.

After that is another indie title, but one I’m personally excited about. This is UnderMine, an action-adventure roguelike from developer Thorium. UnderMine has players delving deep into the UnderMine, looking to uncover all its secrets. Be careful though, as it’s not a friendly place to folk like you. Will what you find aid you in your quest, or will yet another adventurer fall to be forgotten? With the tools at your disposal, I hope you’ll be the former. Get your gear on and prepare, as UnderMine makes its way onto Game Pass PC and Console with the launch of 1.0 tomorrow!

Onto our second to last title, this time, being Xeno Crisis from Bitmap Bureau. Inspired by some of the classic arcade games older gamers used to love, Xeno Crisis has players controlling either a male or female marine on their quest to massacre alien monstrosities. To reach the end, players will have to employ their wide arsenal and quick thinking when taking on each stage. Each one feels unique, so be ready to think differently on the fly. If this sounds interesting to you, Xeno Crisis, like many on this list, comes to Game Pass PC and Console tomorrow.

And last, but absolutely not least, we have Final Fantasy VII HD. For those who have played the remake or who are fans of Final Fantasy, this likely doesn’t need an introduction. For the rest of you like me though, this is an RPG that truly changed the tide when it released. The Shinra Power Company has monopolized the world’s energy, and it’s up to you to stop it. As Cloud Strife, along with many companions, deal blows against Shinra in order to save the world and get them their energy. As the only title on this list coming August 13th, Game Pass PC and Console players will have to wait just a bit longer to experience this classic.

And that’s everything. This is a really hefty week for Game Pass, so hopefully, you find something you enjoy. If you’ve played any of these titles what did you think of them? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
