This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

Since its Weekly Shonen Jump debut in 2014,ย My Hero Academia has gone from strength to strength. The manga is currently in one of its best arcs ever, whilst the anime series will be releasing a fifth season in the coming months. That’s without even mentioning any spin-offs or video games.

My Hero Academiaย is just great, and like many spoiled fans, I’m always craving more. Thankfully, that’s just what we’ll be getting.

Recently, the officialย My Hero Academiaย Twitter accounts have been teasing fans with a series of pictures that culminated into the image you see below. Stating “he will meet the three musketeers” the image got fans speculating as to what it could mean.

Thanks to the latest edition of Shonen Jump, the guessing can stop as the third My Hero Academiaย movie has been made official, with the announcement confirming a summer 2021 release window.

My Hero Academia

At this stage, there isn’t a confirmed release date, either in Japan or the West, and plot details are non-existent. These details will work themselves out in the coming months, but in the meantime, series creator Kohei Horikoshi made a statement alongside the announcement.

He said this in Jump:
”The thirdย My Hero Academiaย is a go! Thank you so much for continuously cheering on Deku and the others! I know I made a comment when the second movie was announced that went something like “I guess there won’t be anymore movies after this,” but well – there is now! So many people have supported us.”
We wish we could bring you more information on the new movie, but that will have to wait. In the meantime, feel free to let us know how excited you are about this anime series news and offer up and speculation on where you’d like to see the plot go.

The thirdย My Hero Academiaย movie will release summer 2021.
