Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Update
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season One is nearly upon us, bringing plenty of content for those hungering for more. There’ll be a new operator, new maps, zombies modes, changes to Warzone, and much more! In the lead-up to Season One’s release, Black Ops Cold War is seeing several updates bringing balance changes, bug fixes, and some smaller bits of content for players. In today’s (December 8) update, there are both quality-of-life changes and two new bundles which you can unlock starting now!

Call of Dutyยฎ: Black Ops Cold War & Warzoneโ„ข - Season One Cinematic

The new bundles in Black Ops Cold War bring plenty of cosmetics to get your hands on, available completely free just by logging in. The first bundle is the “Field Research” bundle, offering up an epic skin for Park, one epic SMG blueprint, one epic reticle, one epic calling card, and one rare weapon charm. The “Certified” bundle, on the other hand, brings an epic skin for Garcia, one rare assault rifle blueprint, one epic reticle, and one epic weapon charm. These aren’t an incredible amount of content, but who’s going to argue with free? If you log in between now and the start of Season One on December 16, these are yours to keep forever.

That isn’t all that’s new in Black Ops Cold War though, as plenty of bug fixes and quality-of-life changes have come in to refine the game. While I’d love to go through every single bug that’s been fixed here, we both don’t want to be here that long. If you’re truly interested in the specifics though, you can read the full patch notes here. Meanwhile, those wanting more have some things to look forward to before Cold War Season One’s launch. For example, the new Motherland Moshpit mode should be quite fun, featuring several modes on both Moscow and Crossroads only. These join double XP + weapon XP from December 12 until the start of Season One. That’s not even mentioning a pre-Season One patch, filled with plenty of balance changes. Here’s to praying ADS times on the snipers will finally be fixed.

Head into Black Ops Cold War now and let me know what you think of the update, along with the new bundles available. Other than that, stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, guides, and more!
