The attention of a new print magazine for gaming is on the horizon. From Gamers is an upcoming publishing media that aims to bring back the aesthetic of printed reading issues to the gaming community.

Printed Pages For Gamers, From Gamers

Gaming journalist Andrew Smith initiated a Kickstarter campaign this month to fund the project. In 2019, he launched the Guide Fall gaming site to start his passionate process of re-introducing written gaming media to the masses. Now, he’s moving to physical pieces of writing with From Gamers. What will be unique in this magazine, however, is how the content will be handled. As well-put in the Kickstarter’s description for From Gamers, the composition for the magazine will be as follows:

Simply put, our magazine is written, published, designed, and read by gamers. This is a small startup project by a few people that really love video games. Our goal is to share that love with other gamers all over the world. From cool artwork to features, previews, reviews, and unique perspectives, our magazine will be filled with content from people who love video games as much as you do.”

All things considered, the campaign is aiming for $5,000 (with $1,459 pledged at the time of this article’s writing) that will cover the production of the first two issues and start-up costs. Issue #1 will be released this year in May, with #2 coming later this year. The debut issue will focus on Far Cry 6, Deathloop, and a few other approaching titles. Furthermore, anyone who wishes to be featured in From Gamers is welcomed to send in a pitch for a piece. There’s a chance you could be included in the magazine’s very first issues!

You can reserve your issues in either physical or digital form through the Kickstarter for only $6. From Gamers‘ publication will be based in the U.S. but will be shipped worldwide. Are you thinking of backing the Kickstarter campaign for From Gamers? Give us your thoughts in the comments below!
