Players are uncovering brand new secrets and challenges in Genshin Impact‘s Version 2.0 update.
A massive amount of content has been added, including extremely rewarding side quests such as Chouji’s Treasure. Yet, many players have been left wondering how to unlock the underground areas of Araumi and Kamisato on Narukami Island. To access these new challenging underground areas in Genshin Impact’s Inazuma Region, players must first complete the ‘Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual’ quest.
Unlocking these areas gives players access to hidden Shrines and most importantly, access to the Perpetual Mechanical Array boss. Defeating this boss grants unique rewards and ascension materials for the new Inazuma characters. Genshin Impact: Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual Quest Guide
First, players will need to accept the quest from an NPC called Kazari. Kazari is directly outside of Ritou, players can find her by crossing the water towards Narukami Island. Kazari and her quest indicator will be right in front and can’t be missed. Interacting with her will start the ‘A Strange Story in Konda’ quest. This is the first of a very long questline. However, with our help, it won’t be long till players have completed the ‘Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual’ quest.
The First Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual
- Player’s will now visit Konda Village and speak with the NPCs. When requested, the correct order is; coin pouch, cargo bag, and finally the notes. Now go down the well, break the wall at the bottom and let the Electro orb guide you.
- Using the Electrogranum, pass through the Thunder Barrier. At this point, the first Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual will start.
- Purify the shrine and then look at the pattern of the puzzle. Using the statue next to you as pillar number 1, in clockwise order, the answer is 1-4-5-3-2 leaves upon the pillars. Defeat the boss that spawns and that ends the first ritual.
The Second Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual
The second ritual takes place as part of the ‘Sacrificial Offering’ quest. Go to the abandoned Shrine near Konda Village.
- First, follow the three ghosts that appear until they stand behind the three fox statues. They will then disappear leaving behind a book.
- After inspecting it, get the Memento Lens from the Grand Narukami Shrine, using it to activate the Kitsune statues’ memories. Repeat the dialogue in this order when prompted; “In the name of”, “And of the” and then “Bring forth”.
- Go to the cave entrance, the entrance is on the south side. Passing through the barrier, continue through another barrier, proceeding forward till finding a Rust-Worn Key.
- Go to Chinju Forest and unlock the gate located at the start of the stream in the northwestern area, using the Rust-Worn Key.
- For the second ritual puzzle, use the same clockwise method as before, enter 1-3-3-3 leaves and the central pillar 2 leaves.
The Third Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual
- Talk to the massive stone bear located in the north of Chinju Forest. Players will then have to look for three Tanukis, lighting the torches if the Tanukis transform into them.
- Now proceed to the marked location and the stone wall will disappear. Enter the newly opened entrance to start the ritual.
- This time the pattern is more complex, the highest pillar is 2 leaves, the pillar on the small rock ledge on the wall is also 2 leaves. The pillar in the furthest corner of the area on the ground is 3 leaves. The pillar next to the bush is 4 and finally, the pillar opposite the bush 4 leaves pillar is 1 leaf.
The Fourth Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual
For the fourth ritual; go to the Araumi area in the north of Narukami Island.
- On arrival, light the Electro pillars surrounding the giant Sakura tree and the ruins. Once all lit, enter the stone tower and use the Memento Lens on the statues inside.
- Use the tool again on a Kitsune below to get an Electrogranu, allowing passage through the Thunder Barrier. Infuse the Kitsune statue behind with Electro to receive a ward.
- Go to the fourth ritual site and solve it; 2 leaves on the 2 pillars at the back of the room, 3 leaves for the pillars on the left and right, and finally one leaf on the pillar in the center. Defeat the TWO Onimusha that appear.
The Final Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual
After a very long quest, we arrive at the final ritual.
- Begin by going to the beach on the east side of Kamisato Estate. There, players will see two Kitsune statues, one with its eyes glowing; Use the Memento Lens.
- Proceed to the island that sits just off the waterline of the beach. On arrival, use the Memento Lens on the Kitsune present. Collect the Electrograna to shield from incoming Electro Damage.
- The answer to the final ritual is as follows; The central pillar must have 1 leaf, the pillars on the left and right 3 leaves, and finally the remaining pillars in front and behind to 2 leaves.
With that, The Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest in Genshin Impact is completed. A certainly long and fun change of pace before an epic boss fight in the proceeding final quest ‘Yougou Cleansing’.
