A recently released promo picture for Venom: Let There Be Carnage has excited fans once again. Not only has the image shown new art for the symbiote and its users, but it also hints at the possibility of a future Marvel Cinematic Universe connection.
In the post, Sony teased that there are only two weeks left before the release of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The poster itself has a caption reading “In TWO weeks, the universe is expanding, exclusively in theaters on October 1.”

Director Andy Serkis has also previously teased that the two characters will meet sometime in the future. “Look, it depends when you want to get there and also what the appetite is,” Serkis stated in an interview. “If people want more Venom stories, then to jump straight to Spider-Man, you could be missing out on so many great supervillain characters between now and then. Point taken, yes, everybody wants to see Venom fight Spider-Man…So I think, again, it’s appetite… they’ll be sacrificing all of that stuff if they want to rush to that.”
The title itself suspiciously fuels already their speculations of a connection between the two universes. Fans have already suspected the connection. Recently, Tom Hardy was seen wearing a hat with the Spider-Man: No Way Homeย logo. This movie is also set on connecting various franchises that weren’t previously connected to the MCU. The biggest reveal from the trailer is the connection to Sam Raimi’sย Spider-Man trilogy.ย Before, these speculations were already made at the mentions of a multiverse in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The Expanding Cast of Venom: Let There Be Carnageย
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will already introduce a number of new characters into the series. Other confirmed characters include Naomie Harris as Shriek and Stephen Grahm as Mulligan (who eventually becomes the symbiote Toxin). At the same time, Sean Delaney and Larry Olubamiwo have been cast into undisclosed roles.
Venom: Let There Be Carnageย will star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock (and Venom) and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady (Carnage). The film will premiere on October 1 in theaters only.
