A Nintendo Direct has officially been announced for tomorrow, September 23 at 3:00 PM PT/6:00 PM ET. The announcement was revealed to most by the official Nintendo Twitter page earlier this morning. The program is set to run for roughly 40 minutes, and will focus “mainly on Nintendo Switch games launching this winter”, according to the Tweet:

The biggest title in the current winter 2022 lineup of games for the company is Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which is set to release on January 28. The most recent trailer for the showcases the ancient Sinnoh region, known then as the Hisui region, and goes into detail regarding the story, gameplay features, and graphical style of the upcoming title.

The official website features all the information currently known about the title, so here is a chance this presentation will feature even more information. The as-of-yet-unnamed sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also currently in development and listen for a 2022 release, but the exact season has not yet been specified, so whether it will be showcased in this Direct is unknown. Its release has yet to be announced. The last time it was shown was back during E3 2021.

In addition, Splatoon 3 and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope are other titles simply listed for 2022, Splatoon 3 being shown back in February. There is even a chance that information about the last DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will either be revealed or teased, with the most recent character, Kazuya, being revealed back at E3. As of now, this September Direct will be the third Nintendo Direct for this year. As stated, it will showcase games set to be released following the upcoming Fall lineup, which currently includes such titles as Metroid Dread and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Shin Megami Tensei 5, and more.

Which titles do you hope to see at this year’s Nintendo Direct? Let us know!
