Not much was revealed about the gameplay specifics, other than Logia Devil Fruits and “Haki” can be used to throw massive special moves and take down opponents. The announcement, and the game’s website say to stay tuned for more information soon.

The official website for the game calls it a “pure fighting-game”. Hervé Hoerdt, VP Marketing & Digital at Banda Namco Entertainment Europe seemed to imply that the games development was influenced by fan input.

The game is being release on PlayStation 4, Vita, and Xbox One. This is the first time a game based on One Piece is being released for a Microsoft console. Although the last game One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 did see release on Microsoft Windows.
