This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

The A Quiet Place movie series from Paramount Pictures is reportedly getting a video game, coming sometime in 2022 next year (via Gematsu). Published by Saber Interactive (World War Z) and developed by iLLOGIKA (Lara Croft Go) and EP1T0ME, the A Quiet Place adaptation will be a “single-player, story-driven” horror adventure title with “compelling suspense, emotion, and drama” that stays true to the source material. A target platform is yet to be announced but more details will be released later this year.

Although we still don’t know how the game will play and look, the Montreal-based iLLOGIKA itself is comprised of veterans from the Rainbow Six and Far Cry franchises. Meanwhile, this seems to be EP1ToME’s first project. Despite both companies lacking an extensive horror portfolio, let’s hope that A Quiet Place game could end up at least half as intense as Alien: Isolation.

The first A Quiet Place was released in 2018, directed by actor John Krasinski. It tells the story of a family struggling to survive and raise their children in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind aliens with an acute sense of hearing. The sequel was released in 2021 and continues what’s left of the family from the first movie.

iLLOGIKA creative director Herve Sliwa promises that the game adaptation will let us experience the same level of horror in the films.

The A Quiet Place video game will let fans experience the tension of the films with a level of immersion they’ve never felt before. We’re excited to work with EP1T0ME and to team up with Saber Interactive to share this unique vision of hope and horror with players everywhere in the future.”

Saber Interactive head of publishing Todd Hollenshead added their project will “live up” to the series’ name while expanding the lore of the movie’s universe. It will also be the first title to be released under the Saber publishing label.

The amazing success of the A Quiet Place movies makes it clear audiences are hungry for more adventures in this universe, and iLLOGIKA is creating their own truly engaging experience that lives up to the name of this beloved property. We are proud to say that A Quiet Place is the first game we will be releasing by an external studio from the growing Saber publishing label.”

Do you think iLLOGIKA and EP1T0ME can deliver a horror title worthy of the A Quiet Place name? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for more gaming and nerd updates.
