Life is Strange: Remastered Collection is currently set for a February 1 release date, leaving it just under two weeks out from its launch. To say I’m excited about its launch would be an understatement, as I’d quickly consider myself a superfan. With it so close though, I’d say some of us are itching for more details, and while this isn’t the reveal we were hoping for, it’s an important one to note nonetheless. Announced over on the official Life is Strange Twitter account, Life is Strange: Remastered Collection is, unfortunately, seeing a delay on Nintendo Switch to some point later this year. You can check out the official tweet below.

While this news is inherently upsetting for Nintendo Switch fans who wanted to pick up the collection, it thankfully isn’t all bad news today. The collection is still set for its release on February 1 through Google Stadia, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. There will also be a set of preview goodies starting on January 25, so those of us wanting to hear more have plenty to be excited about. That specific kickoff date promises an extended look at gameplay from the collection and should give a better idea of what’s changing beyond graphical enhancements if anything. The team ended off the announcement by saying “We hope you understand, and look forward to playing [both titles]. Thank you for your patience and support.”

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection, when it debuts, promises both the original Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm, with incredibly enhanced visual fidelity. With upgraded graphics and tuned animations, the games will look much more beautiful than their original versions, even if the originals haven’t aged too poorly. If you’re interested, you can also pick up the Ultimate Edition of Life is Strange: True Colors to get not only that game but the Remastered Collection as well!

What are your thoughts on Life is Strange: Remastered Collection being delayed on Nintendo Switch? Were you looking forward to playing it on the platform? Let me know.
