The Starlight Strand region of Rainbow Island inย Slime Rancher 2ย can is divided into two winding sections, making it challenging to navigate through without Map Data Nodes for guidance. These nodes serve as points of interest that unlock visibility on the world map, similar to the Statues of the Seven inย Genshin Impact. While it is possible to traverse the land by memorization of landmarks and terrain, getting through Rainbow Island’s complex topography and verticality through rote learning will be a headache for most players. Therefore, finding all the Map Data Nodes of Starlight Strand is essential forย efficient exploration inย Slime Rancher 2.

Map Data Node Location Details
1
  • Starting from the entry portal, go southward towards the sandy coral reef biome of Starlight Strand.ย
  • Those with the Jetpack Upgrade will be able to skip the trip by ascending the walls directly behind the portal.
  • In this coral area, players can find the Map Data Node atop a small, rounded ridge on a massive, swirling rock formation.
  • While it might be possible to reach this spot with some clever parkour, using the Jetpack to fly to the node is a more convenient option.
2
  • The second Data Node of Starlight Strandย is located in the opening with a sparkling stream running through its center.
  • To reach this area, players must start from the portal and head southward through the pink biome.
  • This location is recognizable by its Honey Slimes.
3
  • The third and final Data Node is at the very bottom of Starlight Strand’s pink biome.ย
  • Travel southward in the pink forests until reaching a tall waterfall and an elevated alcove with large Slime statues.
  • Fly onto this alcove’s platform and walk to the right corner to find the Map Data Node.
