This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

One Kronos Island puzzle that will doubtless confuse someย Sonic Frontiersย players is the Tombstone puzzle “A Grave Mystery.” This challenge is located between M-020 and M-023, near the Elder Koco on the northwestern corner of the island. Before starting the puzzle, Sonic will comment that there is a noticeable “pattern on the ground” that reveals how the solution should look. This “pattern” he is referring to is the trails of visible dirt that can be seen in some areas between the tombstones but not others. Accordingly, players can solve the A Graveย Mystery puzzle inย Sonic Frontiersย by aiming the obelisks’ beams of light to match the shape shown by the dirt pattern.ย

For clarification, when players turn a Tombstone, it will cause another Tombstone to turn simultaneously, potentially undoing the portion of the pattern they had just matched. As a result, many might feel that the A Grave Mystery puzzle inย Sonic Frontiersย is quite frustrating, forcing them to mess up portions of the puzzle that seemed sufficient before. Therefore, the main way some fans might solve this puzzle is by continuously turning the Tombstones via trial and error until they finally follow the solution pattern.

Fortunately, there isย a much easier way to complete this puzzle without having to deal with experimentation. Using the six-step method below, players can easily solve the A Grave Mystery puzzle inย Sonic Frontiers:

4
  • Similarly, move the bottom Tombstone to also face directly southward.
5
  • Control the Tombstone on the left again and turn it to face northwest.
6
  • Select the Tombstone on the right again and turn the laser to face southwest.
