Just like in One Piece, One Piece Odyssey features Observation Haki, a special skill you can learn to use with Luffy. Typically, Observation Haki can only be used by powerful pirates and marines. Luckily for us, this includes Luffy as well. The special skill acts as a sort of telepathy, giving you the ability to hear3 someone’s inner voice, which can tell you their position and intentions. It’s a vastly useful ability in the game and can be quite handy in certain situations and explorations. Keep reading to learn how to use Observation Haki in One Piece Odyssey.

Observation Haki, or Color of Observation Haki, is a special ability that only Luffy can use in One Piece Odyssey. Even though other characters in One Piece can technically use Observation Haki, like Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp, only Luffy can use the special skill in the game.

From the very beginning of the game, Luffy will have access to this ability for the most part. There is one point where you will lose the ability to use Observation Haki for a short time when Lim takes everyone’s abilities, but you get it back quite soon. All you have to do to obtain it once again is to find the first Cube Fragment in the Shoreside Cave.

When you head out into the field and begin playing as Luffy, you should press either the “F” key or the “Y” button in order to activate Observation Haki. For a quick moment, the color of your screen will turn negative, and there will be a pulse-like shockwave that extends from Luffy. If your ability has located anything interesting nearby, it will be highlighted on your screen.

Keep in mind that this pulse doesn’t go very far. That being said, it would be wise to use this ability quite often to ensure you do not miss important things. As you run around activating Observation Haki, there are two types of things that will be highlighted and brought to your attention: EXP Enemies and hidden items.

Using Observation Haki can help you find items that you otherwise will not be able to locate and also help you look for new battles to take on to earn extra experience points. Fighting these enemies will give you the normal amount of experience, along with some bonus experience as well.
