What to Do With the Glittering Key in Destiny 2

Glittering Key is a unique item, first introduced in the Last Wish Raid in Dreaming City from Destiny 2‘s third expansion, Forsaken. When you completed the Raid and open one of the final Chests, you might end up getting this item. If you hover over it and read both the description and its name, obviously this can be used to unlock something in Dreaming City… but what? For new players or those of you who missed out on the heyday of Forsaken, here’s what you can do with the Glittering Key in Destiny 2.

How to Use Glittering Key In Destiny 2

Glittering Key can be used to unlock a hidden chest containing the extremely rare Ermine TAC-717 Ship after beating Morgeth, the Spirekeepe. But of course, getting to the chest is the main problem.

1. Reach the Wish Wall Room

First, start the Last Wish Raid in Dreaming City like usual; however, head left just after going through the large doors. Here you will see three statues. Wait until the voice stops and the middle statue’s grid panel will rotate and reveals a crystal cave. Now go inside the cave.

Once in the cave, keep left! Always take the left path even if there are forks or any other interesting things enticing you to head the other way. At some point, you will reach the Tower of Opened Eyes. Just like before though, keep left and go straight until you reach a dead end. Climb upward by jumping on small platforms covered in moss and plants.

At the top, crawl through a tunnel and you’ll eventually come across a large chasm. Take the leap and jump across to reach the other side. Keep going down the stone corridor. You’ll face a slotted puzzle board and a portal in the middle; this is the Wish Wall, a puzzle necessary to unlock different paths in the Last Wish Raid.

2. Solve the Glittering Key Puzzle

Here, you will have to shoot each slot on the board to make it show an image. In order to solve the puzzle and open the path for the Glittering Key chest, you have to input the Second Wish pattern in the picture above.

Second Wish pattern:

Once that’s over with, go into the portal beam in the middle and head to the next Wish Wall puzzle. You then have to input the Fifth Wish pattern for the second puzzle, seen in the picture below.

Fifth Wish pattern:

After completing the second puzzle and going into the portal, you will be transported to Morgeth, the Spirekeepe arena. Defeat the boss, enter through the big doors and turn right until you reach the Hall of Two Souls. Just before the double doors, go up the stairs, turn right, jump between the stones to get across, and then climb the rocky pillar. There, the Glittering Key chest awaits you to be unlocked.
