“Mark enemies in a single match 0/10” is one of the Week 7 Season Quests that Fortnite players must complete in Chapter 4: Season 1. Clearing this objective will grant users 16,000 XP, a generous reward for advancing one’s progression in the current season’s Battle Pass. Marking enemies is also a task that players will need to fulfill for separate quests, and it serves as an excellent means of communicating an opposing squad member’s position to teammates. While most veterans will already know how to perform this useful in-game function, users who primarily play solo or newcomers to Fortnite will likely need clarification regarding how enemies can be marked.

Marking Enemies in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1

There are multiple ways to mark enemies in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. The first and most accessible method is by using a control input, which will vary by platform. The Middle Mouse Button will mark enemies for PC users, while PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox players in Fortnite need to use their Left D-Pad.

While using a button to mark enemies in Fortnite does not involve any prerequisite gameplay mechanics, the action of targeting a moving opponent can be challenging, especially for those less experienced in FPS games. After all, attempting to aim and mark an enemy while they are actively attacking players is not ideal while progressing to the “Mark enemies in a single match” season quest. Dexerto states that another way to mark enemies would be to remain inside a Capture Point to capture the flag at a POI. If users manage to capture the landmark, any enemy combatants within the premises will be automatically marked.

The final and easiest way of completing the “Mark enemies in a single match” in Fortnite is using the new Falcon Scout device introduced in Season 1. According to YouTube content creator Perfect Score, a choice source to obtain a Falcon Scout would be the Oathbound Chests of The Citadel. After players find one, they can then hide in a safe position and use the device to scan enemy players or NPCs at The Citadel. The only drawback of this method is dealing with the RNG of a Falcon Scout dropping from chests.

Fortnite is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
