Revealing a Red Envelope in DBD Moonlight Burrow Event
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Players must understand how Red Envelopes work to obtain the free cosmetic rewards during the Moonlight Burrow Event inย Dead by Daylight. Traditionally, Red Envelopes in the real world are filled with money and given to friends and family to symbolize wishes for good luck in the new year. Likewise,ย Dead by Daylightย players must procure Red Envelopes in theirย Bloodweb with Bloodpointsย and give them to other players in in-game Trials. When a Survivor or Killer opens a Red Envelope, they will receive Bloodpoints. Conversely, the one who initially bought and placed the Red Envelope into the match will be rewarded with Bloodpoints and a Moonlight Burrow event cosmetic.

Red Envelopes in theย Moonlight Burrow Eventย will typically cost 2,000 Bloodpoints each inย Dead by Daylight. After buying one from the Bloodweb, players must examine their Loadout and move the Red Envelope from their Inventory to the Offering Slot before entering a match.ย

Dead By Daylight: How To Get All Moonlight Burrow Cosmetic Rewards

Once players have entered an instanced Trial during Moonlight Burrow Event, their Red Envelope will be marked on their HUD inย Dead By Daylight. All they need to do afterward is wait for another player to come and interact with their Offering to receive Bloodpoints and a cosmetic reward after the match. Both Survivors and Killers can interact with their Red Envelopes, so there is no need to coerce one’s teammates to quickly activate their Offering.ย

Additionally, a visual and audible indication will be triggered when players reveal their Red Envelope on the map, so no communication regarding where their Offering was placed is required. As noted by YouTuberย DStrike, it does not matter if a Survivor is killed or escapes a Trial. They will receive their rewards after the match as long as another player interacts with their Red Envelope. Likewise, Killers do not need to win the Trial to receive their reward, as the same conditions apply regarding the Red Envelope Offering. The primary objective of the Moonlight Burrow Event is to participate. Those who spend their hard-earned Bloodpoints to buy Red Envelopes will be granted cosmetics and more Bloodpoints, while those who help envelope owners in this endeavor will receive Bloodpoints for their support.

Dead By Daylightย is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox One X|S, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.ย
