Kerbal Space Program 2 has today, February 24, 2023, released new updates and the patch notes, and we have the full list of changes. The space simulation game is known for its stunning visuals, revamped UI, and rich new environments for players to explore.
Interceptor Games has made a few changes and observations in todayโs update patch notes in KSP2, the arrow keys can now pan the camera making it easy for players to reset the camera to the default position. Let’s have a look at the list of changes on Kerbal Space Program 2.

Known Issues with Recommended Workarounds:
- Graphics settings default to โhigh qualityโ on the first play through. If you are having frame rate issues on initial load, access Settings via the ESC menu and select alternate quality settings.
- Fuel flow and Delta-V calculations are currently undergoing optimization, but on day 1 of Early Access, high numbers of engines pulling from a common fuel source may impact frame rate. If youโre having trouble achieving a desired frame rate on your machine, consider using a smaller number of higher-performance engines on your vehicle.ย
- The center of lift indicator does not yet update dynamically. When you adjust a wing in the editor, to see the effects of a wing modification, you must first exit the editor to update the center of lift.
- In KSP2, the arrow keys now pan the camera, rather than rotating it (right mouse button still rotates the camera). If you get the camera in an undesirable state, press the Home key on your keyboard to reset it to its default position.

Unavailability of some original KSP.
Some parts will no longer be needed; for example, the Twin Boar and Mammoth engines now use a more flexible engine plate system. Additionally, procedural wings will be added in upcoming updates along with other components still under development such as A.I.R.B.R.A.K.-E’s and science collection (future propulsion and colony parts).

Serialization code issue
which is very rare (especially when building high-complexity vehicles) your vehicle may collapse into an unrecoverable pile of parts on the floor of the VAB. The undo key may also break your in-progress build. For now, itโs a good idea to save frequently.

Trip plannerย
The trip planner occasionally displays inaccurate delta-v numbers for some destinations. All delta-v numbers in the VAB use vacuum specific impulse numbers, which affects their accuracy. Delta-v numbers shown in the staging stack during flight dynamically reflect the current flight state.

Re-entry heating and thermal systems are offline –
You’ll have a brief window here at the beginning of Early Access during which you can re-enter any atmosphere without a heat shield. The franchise is still buttoning down heat transfer, ablation, and occlusion systems. Vapor cone visual effects are also still on progress.

No colliding with rocks or trees
This optimization work will be completed before you can collide with rocks or trees. However KSC buildings are currently holograms and they are collapsible but not yet destructible.

Frame-rate stutters/lagย
The dev. Team is working down the list of performance optimizations, from highest to lowest impact.As the game’s graphics, resource flow, VFX and physics become more efficient, frame rates will improve for all players.

Cleaning the systems that prioritize different classes of information in the map
There are times when you need to click a few more times to access the maneuver planner. Similar difficulties may arise when you try to link specific parts with their data in the Part Manager. You can anticipate this experience to get better over time as the franchise makes several changes to the current UI.
