Colossal Order plans to release a new Cities: Skylines update on May 23, 2023, to add more cross-DLC Content. This update contains the second adjustment to the Hotels & Retreats expansions. The Dev Diary #2 update will be free for download to all players. The previous update introduced multiple changes to the Hotels and Retreat expansion, concentrating more on maps. However, the upcoming patch will introduce more vehicles and roads to make things even more exciting. That’s not all; the incoming update shall also add more goodies to the base game.

What to Expect in the Incoming Hotels & Retreats Update

One of the most significant additions to the Cities: Skylines May 23 update is the list of new vehicles in the game. The developers have shared that they will add 6 industry vehicles for base game owners. Additionally, these owners shall enjoy a new cargo train engine.

At the same time, the update contains a new biofuel bus with a capacity of up to 40 passengers per ride. However, the articulated bus biofuel can ferry 75 passengers. The bus will also come with its depot for Green Cities owners.

Additionally, the team is adding 8 new buses, 2 new trolleybuses, 5 articulated trolleybuses, and a new doubledecker intercity for Sunset Harbor owners. Lastly, Parklife owners shall enjoy the new Park Maintenance Vehicle to boost cleaning activities in the area.

More Incoming Cities: Skylines DLC Content

While awaiting the upcoming update, Cities: Skylines 2 will launch next year, providing players with more content. As for now, the patch, new roads, buildings, and decorations are coming your way.

  • 3 new industrial roads added to Industries
  • 4 new roads in Sunset Harbor
  • Additional bicycle lanes for Sunset Harbor and After Dark owners.
  • The base game will have 3 new trees: Silver Birch, Norway Spruce, and Large Scrub.
  • Green Cities gets a new power plant, the Advanced Coal Power Plant.
  • Parklife has 3 new buildings
    • one for amusement parks,
    • one for zoos,
    • one for nature reserves
  • Industries will have a new warehouse on the menu, the Warehouse with Railway Connection.
  • Industries and Sunset Harbor owners will find a new unique factory, The Seafood Factory,
  • Airports get two (large and small) new decorative concrete aprons.
  • Two new variations for the Small Fountain Plaza and the Flower Plaza from Plazas & Promenades.

The incoming Cities: Skylinesย update will have more improvements. While waiting for its launch on May 23, players can check out the extensive patch notes on the developer’s official website.
