Glued to the cave walls in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Like Likes are some of the toughest enemies to beat. The latest installment in the Zelda franchise has brought a ton of new things, but Like Likes have been the staple of the franchise since its inception. You might have battled them on NES decades ago, but you now face them on Nintendo Switch. These worm-like death bringers are tough enemies but can be easily dealt with if the right weapon is used. This guide will show you how to defeat Like Likes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

To defeat Like Likes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to shoot an arrow into the eyeball when Like Likes opens its jaw. However, you will need to combine your arrow with a bomb flower for better damage. Once you hit it, shoot at it again, but this time using a standard arrow. This will stun Like Likes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom long enough to give you a perfect opportunity to attack with a melee weapon. You can use a sword or a hammer. You need to know that Like Likes open their jaw only when you are in range. This is important to know so you are sure to attack first.

If the Like Like manages to get you, it will swallow you to drain your health as well as swallow the shield you are using. Repeat the action until you defeat Like Likes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You will need three to four successful attacks at the Like Likes’ eyeball to defeat it. You need to know that Like Likes often come in pairs, so be sure not to get eaten by the other one while you deal with the first one.

The first time Link encounters Like Likes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is on the Great Sky Island. You see them just before you are about to reach the Gutanbac Shrine. If this is your first Zelda game, then Like Likes might be the most gruesome thing you have seen so far in the entire Hyrule. You will find Like Likes in the caves and Hyrule’s underground. Once you defeat Like Likes in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will be able to collect Like Like Stones. These can then be used for cooking elixirs.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
