Dream Home is a new feature that lets players place various Room types to make their own houses in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To unlock this feature, first, you’ll need to finish the “Mattison’s Independence” Side Quest. Otherwise, the necessary NPC that will grant you access to Dream Home will just say she’s currently busy. Once done, head to the Hudson Construction in Tarrey Town, in the Akkala Highlands. You’ll want to speak to Rhondson there.

She’ll happily offer you a discount on a plot of land for your Deam Home at just 1,500 Rupees as a thank you. Accept her offer and spend your hard-earned Rupees, then go to the empty plot near Rasitakiwak Shrine. This will start the “Home on Arrange” quest and lets you build your Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Dream Home using various Rooms. Granteson, the guy behind the desk, will give you two complimentary rooms for free, but you can buy more from him. Below is the list of all Dream Home Room types that Granteson sells in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Dream Home Tips and Tricks

Use the Ultrahand to move around the room blocks. Remember that your Dream Home in Tears of the Kingdom will only pass Granteson’s inspection if all the Rooms are placed inside the Roped Area. However, they don’t have to be attached to each other. That means if you want to make a small shack outside the main house, you can easily do so.

When you place Zelda Dream Home Rooms, the sides covered in nets will be the open sides. The nets will disappear once Granteson finishes his inspection, so make sure that the netted sides line up with each other if you want to make connected Rooms. This will be useful if you want to make a rooftop garden on the second floor since you’ll need plenty of free space.

Lastly, not all the Rooms you purchased must be placed in the Roped Area. You can store unneeded Rooms by placing them outside the Roped Area and not touching any parts of the Rope. Talk to Granteson, and pick the “I need more rooms” and “I’ll use stored rooms” to see all the unused Rooms you have.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
