As the name suggests, the quest starts in the Stable in Gerudo Canyon. Therefore, you need to go to the southwest of the map. You can also fast-travel to Turakamik Shrine or Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower. Here are the exact coordinates of the Gerudo Canyon Stable:

  • -2804, -2226, 0074

Interact with the left frame in Stable to start a dialogue with Piaffe. He will tell you that he wants to decorate the Gerudo Canyon Stable with some pictures. You will also learn Rito’s traveler’s story about Smiling Rock near the Stable. So Piaffe will ask you to take a photo of Spectacle Rock smiling so he can paint a picture of it.

At first glance, it may seem that taking a photo of the Rock is very simple. But the reality is a bit more complicated since you need to get to a certain sky island to complete A Picture for the Closed Stable 1. Fortunately, there are two ways to do this:

  • You can fast-travel to the Rakashog Shrine, which is located on the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago.
  • If you haven’t unlocked this Shrine, you can fly to this island using the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.

Then it would be best if you approached the southeastern edge of the island. Below you can see Spectacle Rock and a floating curved island. All you have to do is take a photo of this cute Rock with your Camera and take it to Piaffe. He will be happy to draw such a picture, so as a reward for A Picture for the Closed Stable 1 quest, he will give you Pony Point and Chilly Mushroom Risotto.

That’s all you need to know about A Picture for the Closed Stable 1 quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. This quest is quite simple, but you must unlock the Camera in your Purah Pad to complete it. In the meantime, take a look at our guide on how to unlock O-ogim Shrine.
