Wonderstorm and Netflix have officially released a new clip for The Dragon Prince season 5. In addition, they have confirmed an official release date for the upcoming season.

The Dragon Prince season 5 will air exclusively on Netflix on July 27, 2023. No news on seasons six and seven have been shared at this time.

What To Expect from The Dragon Prince Season 5

The Dragon Prince season 5 was officially teased by Netflix and Wonderstorm earlier this year via a promotional poster on social media. The post confirmed that the season would air sometime in summer 2023. Since then, two clips of the upcoming season have been shared to provide fans with a sneak peek of what to expect.

The first clip, “A Call for Aid,” was released in May 2023. The second clip, “Stargazing”, was released today and shared the official release date for season 5.

“A Call for Aid” sees the characters Ezran, Soren, Corvus, Zym, and Zubeia, Queen of the Dragons, activate an ancient beacon in the middle of a large ocean to call upon a powerful ally. “Stargazing” focuses on Callum and Rayla, who look upon the stars in Xadia together one moonlit night.

Season 5 will likely follow up directly from where season 4 left off and see Callum, Rayla, Ezran, and Zym continue their journey across Xadia to find Viren and Claudia, as well as a way to put a stop to Aaravos’s evil plans. The Dragon Prince is currently slated for at least seven seasons on Netflix, though no news on season six or seven has been shared at this time.

As mentioned, The Dragon Prince season 5 will officially air exclusively on Netflix on July 27, 2023. For more of the latest Netflix and entertainment news, be sure to keep reading The Nerd Stash!
