When you play Battlefield 1, you might run into errors while playing the game. It is frustrating to disconnect from the game while enjoying the latest expansion or update but not know why. You will see an error code when this happens, but you don’t know what the code means or how you fix it. The error code is 34601, but this random string of numbers doesn’t reveal much to an average player. Accordingly, here’s how you fix error code 34601 in Battlefield 1 and prevent it from happening again.

Error code 34601 is a network connectivity error, meaning your network connection has been disrupted. This error has two potential causes. The first is EA’s servers are down for maintenance or another reason. This will affect multiple players and not just you. Contact EA’s Technical Support if you believe the servers are down. EA’s Help Twitter can also include updates for server maintenance which would explain the error. Give Twitter some time to update or check with other players in the community to see if they are experiencing the same problem. If other players report that they are also getting Error code 34601, it’s likely a server-side issue.

Your only solution is to wait for EA to bring the servers back for Battlefield 1. The fix may take a few hours to days, depending on the problem’s severity. Once it is back online, other players should report the news, and updates are sent out to notify everyone else.

If other players can log in, but you are still having issues, then the connectivity issue is on your end. Check your internet connection to see if it is working and your firewall to see if you are blocking EA’s programs. Contact your ISP to ensure everything is fine on your end, and they should guide you through the process. Make sure nothing is interfering with your WiFi if using a wireless connection and that your Ethernet cable is plugged in for wired connections.

Restarting your modem might fix the problem, and check other programs to see if you can’t connect to them. EA’s Technical Support can guide you if the issue appears on your end, but everything else is fine. This process takes more troubleshooting, but you will know how to fix the problem if it happens again. Battlefield 1 brings you a competitive World War One setting, and you must ensure your internet connection is continuously working properly. If Error code 34601 does come back, knowing how to fix it gets you back in the game sooner.
