Want to know how to use the Escape Pod in Dave the Diver? No matter how well you upgrade your equipment and weapons, sometimes you must retreat and leave Blue Hole. Dire situations include critical oxygen levels, an ambush by predators, or exceeding the carrying capacity after the hunt. These are only part of the reasons you want to get to the boat. But luckily, whatever the reason, you can use the Escape Pod to return to the surface and finish the dive. Escape Pod is a basic mechanic in Dave the Diver, and we will show you how to use it.

Escape Pods are small blue walkie-talkie icons that you can find in any underwater location. Thanks to this mechanic, you can quickly get back on board your boat no matter how deep you are. But the spawning site of the Escape Pod is not static, so you will have to look for it every time you dive. However, there are enough of them in each location so that you can always survive.

How Does the Escape Pod Work in Dave the Diver?

To use the Escape Pod in Dave the Diver, you must swim up to blue walkie-talkie icons and hold the space bar, but you need 6 seconds to activate it. Be careful not to release the space bar before the process is complete or get pushed away by a predator. You must start over if the process is interrupted for any other reason. Luckily, Escape Pod doesn’t disappear after a failed attempt, and you can try as many as you need.

Escape Pod is a great way to escape a predator or save yourself if your Air Tank is running low. However, if a predator attacks you, remember that activation takes time. So you must wait for the attack, dodge, and use the Escape Pod before you get attacked again. In addition, Escape Pod is the core way to safely finish the dive if you find yourself in one of the following situations:

  • Exceeding the carrying capacity
  • You dived too deep.
  • You are in winding locations like Glacial Passage.

Finally, it is worth adding that using the Escape Pod is free and does not affect your progress. You will only instantly finish the current dive, and all the farmed loot will remain in your Cargo Box.
