Bloons TD 6 is a highly popular tower defense game that presents players with a multitude of challenging obstacles to overcome. One such challenge faced by players involves defeating the boss, Vortex: Deadly Master of Air. Vortex is renowned for its extraordinary speed and the ability to stun neighboring towers and farms, making it an exceptionally formidable opponent. So, let’s look at how to beat Vortex in BTD6.

Farming is key to beating the Vortex: Deadly Master of Air in BTD6. The more money you accumulate during the early game, the better your chances of defeating Vortex. Since Vortex is incredibly fast, you’ll need to plan your farming strategy accordingly. Focus on building multiple farms to generate a steady income while also being prepared to defend against the incoming waves of bloons.

When it comes to countering Vortex, towers with a global range, such as Snipers and Dartling Gunners, are your best bet. These towers can reach Vortex no matter where it is on the map, allowing you to deal consistent damage. Specifically, the M.A.D. upgrade for the Dartling Gunner and the Elite Defender upgrade for the Sniper Monkey are highly effective against Vortex.

During the early stages of the battle, prioritize building Snipers and Dartling Gunners, as they provide long-range, high DPS capabilities. However, it’s important to note that Vortex has the ability to take down projectiles. Therefore, use towers that use other forms of attack, such as lasers or explosions.

Tier-Based Strategies to Beat Vortex in BTD6

Vortex comes in five tiers, with each stage becoming progressively stronger. To counter the different tiers, you’ll need to adjust your strategies accordingly. For the lower tiers of Vortex, towers with slowdown abilities and single-target damage are your best option.

The Sniper Monkey, especially when upgraded with the Frist Strike Capability, can deal devastating damage to Vortex. The Frist Strike Capability has a powerful attack that can significantly weaken Vortex’s health. However, this upgrade can be expensive, so it’s crucial to focus on efficient farming to afford it.

Additionally, consider building buffs for your towers and farms. While the impact of buffs may not be immediately apparent, they can provide vital support during the battle against Vortex.

As you progress to higher tiers of Vortex, your strategy will need to adapt. In these stages, it’s recommended to focus on powerful tier-5 towers, paragons, heroes, and support towers.

Work towards building three strong tier-5 towers, such as the Apex Plasma Master, Vengeful True Sun God, or The Legend of the Night. These towers have immense power and can deal significant damage to Vortex. Heroes can also play a crucial role in your strategy. Benjamin the Code Monkey and Geraldo the Mystic Shopkeeper are excellent choices as heroes, as they can provide income boosts and additional support for your defense.

Support towers, such as Monkey Banks or Monkey Subs with Advanced Intel, can enhance the capabilities of your farms and towers. They can provide additional income or water-based defense, respectively.

Here are some additional tips and tricks to keep in mind to beat Vortex in BTD6:

  • Utilize the stun mechanic: Whenever Vortex uses its Skull ability, it gets knocked back slightly, providing an opportunity for your towers to deal more damage. Balancing the stun mechanic with your tower attacks can maximize your damage output.
  • Balance farming and tower defense: It’s important to strike a balance between farming for income and building strong towers to defend against Vortex. Always prioritize farming, but be ready to sell and replace towers as needed.
  • Experiment with different tower combinations: Every player has a unique playstyle, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different tower combinations to find what works best for you. Some players may find success with Ninja Master Bombers, while others prefer a focus on long-range snipers.
