So, you want to know if can you play Hunt: Showdown solo. Set in the late 1800s, Hunt: Showdown is a unique mix of PvP and PvE elements. You play as a bounty hunter in a dark, atmospheric, supernatural environment bursting with dangerous creatures and otherworldly monsters. As the game gets you into the immersive and rather intense gameplay, you will be on the watch out for other players and monsters alike with these tips and tricks. Now, while it is intended as a co-op multiplayer as you battle in teams against others, there is one lingering question can you play Hunt: Showdown solo?

Yes, you can play Hunt: Showdown solo. Although the game emphasizes team-based gameplay, there is an option to play solo. You can choose between a few game modes:

  1. Bounty Hunt
Bounty Hunt mode in Hunt: Showdown is where the action is. Usually, players team up and go head-to-head. But you can also go it alone! After logging in and reaching the main menu, just head to the lobby tab. You’ll see the standard Bounty Hunt mode there. If you want to play solo, it’s easy. Look for the Play Solo option at the bottom left of your screen, click it, and then hit Play Bounty Hunt. Now, you’re all set to take on the dark and dangerous world by yourself.
  2. Soul Survivor (Quickplay)
As the name suggests, Soul Survivor is your go-to solo mode. You will fight against 11 other bounty hunters in the 15-minute battle royal. At the start, you will have low-grade gear, and the task is to find four Rifts in a map and activate the Wellspring. The first to do so is the new Wellspring Carrier and will need to defend against enemies. The winner of the match is the last one standing or who depletes the Wellspring over time. It is particularly tailored for solo players, and as you survive, you will then be able to recruit your Soul Survivor in the Bounty Hunt mode.
  3. Trials
Don’t miss out on the special solo-only mode called Trials. In this mode, you will deal only with AI-controlled enemies. So, complete tasks to earn stars, unlocking exclusive rewards. You will quickly get accustomed to the game’s mechanics as you explore the challenges. It is a great way to learn the game’s basics while earning cool stuff. Give it a try when you have the time!

Playing Hunt: Showdown solo can be even more intense and far more interesting than playing in a team. Permadeath brings a unique experience as there is no respawn, unlike in similar games.
