Sometimes, being able to play a game with friends makes the experience just that much better. In the newest cozy adventure, Palia, you can play through the adventure by yourself or with a friend! You can do things like use the glider together or even play together on Steam Deck if you feel so inclined to! Keep reading to find out how to get the most out of this MMO adventure with your friends.

The very first thing you’re going to want to do before playing with your friends in the MMO Palia is to add them to your friend list. To do this, you will need to open the game’s panel by pressing O on the keyboard. You will then have the option of clicking the icon of a person with a + sign which will then prompt you to type in your friend’s username and search for them in the search bar. When their name shows up, you will see a plus sign to the right of their name. If you select this, then you’ll be able to add this friend to your list.

Unfortunately, that isn’t everything that you need in order to play online with friends. You will be able to chat with your companions, but you will need to invite them to the same server if you’re looking to play with them. To do this, simply invite them to the server and wait for them to accept the invitation.

At that point, you’ll be able to play Palia and traverse the Kilima Village and Bahari Bay together! The best part about this is that when you both forage for items, you will both get the same items. For example, if you both use a pickaxe to get wood or loot rocks, you and your friend will receive the same amount of resources.

You’ll also be able to visit each other’s housing plots so that you can show off your home as well as get ideas on what to do from your friends’ creations. You can only look, though, as you can’t change any of their decorations unless they specifically allow you to.

Palia is currently available on PC and Nintendo Switch.
