What is the puzzle to enter the Red Hot Ruins in Hello Kitty Island Adventure? The new Hello Kitty game is a mobile title where you play as your own animal avatar and have adventures with Hello Kitty and her friends. Hello Kitty Island Adventure features plenty of unique explorable environments, including a dangerous volcano and creepy swamps. Your goal is to raise your friendship levels with every animal on the island and complete quests. The Red Hot Ruins is a dungeon on Mount Hothead and part of a mission after befriending Retsuko.
Where Are the Red Hot Ruins in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?
Retsuko stands in front of the Red Hot Ruins on Mount Hothead in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. The mountain is on an abandoned island northwest of the world map. You can reach Hothead Mountain by either ziplining or using the flippers to swim to the island. You learn how to fix the ziplines on the island by raising your friendship with Pochaco, while Keroppi rewards you flippers for helping him with one of his quests.
Retsuko is the red panda in the dress. Once you meet her, she should be marked on your map. The Red Hot Ruins is locked behind some doors, and you must solve the puzzle to enter the dungeon.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure Red Hot Ruins Puzzle Solution
You can’t unlock the Red Hot Ruins until you reach a friendship level 7 with Retsuko in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. You raise your friendship level with characters by giving them gifts they like. Retsuko’s three-heart gift is the Volcanic Guitar, which you can fish out of the lava river on Hothead Mountain.
Once you’re at level 7 with Retsuko, she’ll give you the Enraging Ruins quest. Solving the Red Hot Ruins puzzle in Hello Kitty Island Adventure requires you to find the three Red Power Crystals.

You can locate the crystals with the Power Crystal Sensor. You gain the Sensor by befriending Chococat and receiving the Power Up the Gate quest. Chococat has you collect three Magnets from Badtz-maru, Tuxedosam, and Pochacco. He will then give you the Sensor as a gift.
The Sensor will show you that all three Red Power Crystals are on Mount Hothead Island.
First Red Power Crystal
The first crystal should be on the eastern path away from Retsuko. It should be in the gray rocks area of the mountain.
Second Red Power Crystal
The second should be in the middle of the cluster of lakes on the east side of the island. The crystal will be in front of twin waterfalls.
Third Red Power Crystal
The third crystal is on top of a rock patio in front of a small lake on the beach. The lake should be directly west of Retsuko.
You can technically collect the Red Power Crystals before receiving the Enraging Ruins mission, but you won’t be able to open the Red Hot Ruins doors until you do. Once you have all three, walk up front to the Red Hot Ruins to place the Red Crystals to activate the mechanism.
The doors will then open, and Retsuko and Chococat will join you as you enter. That’s how you solve the Red Hot Ruins puzzle in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
