In Palia, you can complete many different quests. Some of them will help you level up your skills, while others can improve your relationship with the villagers. Sometimes quests may require you to find certain foods and items that are quite hard to find, such as fish. All fish in Palia spawn in different waters at different times and also like different baits. Therefore, finding a certain type of fish can become a challenge. So, read on to find out where to find Oily Anchovy in Palia.

Almost all types of fish in Palia can be useful for cooking, completing weekly wants or quests. For example, Nai’o might ask you to collect some ingredients for his mom’s famous pie, one of which is Oily Anchovy.

This small fish can bring you from 35 to 52 Gold, which is not very much. However, it is a crucial ingredient for the Everybody Wins quest. Therefore, you will definitely need at least one Oily Anchovy.

Where To Catch Oily Anchovy

Before you go fishing, you need to fulfill a few conditions. You should first get the Fishing Rod if you haven’t already. To do this, it is enough to progress through the plot. Then you should find the right Oily Anchovy bait in Palia.

Some fish can be caught without bait, but Oily Anchovy still needs it. To be more precise, you need the bait in the form of a Worm. You can buy them from Zeki’s General Store or grow them using Worm Farm. Either way, it won’t take long.

Once you’ve made all the preparations, you can finally go fishing for Oily Anchovy in Palia. Fortunately, this fish spawns at any time of the day. However, players can only catch Oily Anchovy in certain bodies of water, namely rivers. It can be a bit confusing as Palia has a variety of locations, and it’s not always easy to tell if the river is in front of you or not. Therefore, we recommend that you visit these areas:

  • Bridge near Proudhorn Pass
  • River southeast of Thorny Thicket
  • River north of Statue Garden

That’s all you need to know about how to catch Oily Anchovy in Palia. You will need this fish for the Everybody Wins quest, so follow our tips to find it without any problems. And while you are here, take a look at our guide on how and where to find a Shepp in Palia.
