Yveltal returns to five-star raids in Pokemon Go to continue its reign of terror, yet are there any counters that work best against the Destruction Pokemon? Yveltal is the black and blood-shot red bird Legendary first introduced as one of the box legendaries for Pokemon X and Y. The Fairy-type deer Legendary, Xerneas, serves as Yveltal’s polar opposite. Whereas Xerneas spreads life and beauty, Yveltal is about chaos and destruction. Yveltal’s purpose is to cleanse the land to allow new life to flourish. The Legendary Bird Pokemon is one of the more challenging raid counters in Pokemon Go.

Yveltal isn’t necessarily evil, as its destruction is vital for the circle of life. However, its countless demolition of nature and land has caused unmeasurable misery to innocents. Even though Yveltal is significant to the continuation of life, its destructive power has given it the Dark-typing. Yveltal’s second typing is Flying because it has wings to soar.

Yveltal’s dual typing gives it a weakness to Rock, Electric, Ice, and Fairy-type attacks. On the other hand, Yveltal is resistant to Ghost, Grass, and Dark-type moves. The Pokemon is also immune to Ground and Psychic-type attacks.

Yveltal will appear in five-star raids in Pokemon Go starting August 16. It will temporarily disappear from raids on August 23, returning on August 27. September 1 will be the last day of the Yveltal Raid event. You can fight Yveltal in five-star raids in Pokemon Go with a group of friends. Up to six players can join a five-star raid. Given how challenging Yveltal is, you should face it with a group of friends rather than solo.
