This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Your arsenal may be filled with many cool primary weapons, but what about secondary guns? It’s important to have a good replacement for your rifle in stock. Fortunately, we have several options and will tell you about the 5 best pistols in Starfield. The game has a bunch of different pistols, from the usual ones, such as the M1911 Old Earth Pistol, to futuristic laser guns. Below, we’ve described a few of the best options for bloody fights.

Starfield: Best Pistols

You can get pistols in Starfield in different ways: buy, find, steal, get them as a reward, etc. What’s important for a pistol is to be comfortable to shoot and have decent damage. Below, we have selected and described several of them, so you will definitely find something for yourself.

5. Solstice

ENGY 10
Ammo 1.5KV LZR
Mag 16
Fire Rate 25
Range 30
Accuracy 69.3%
Mass 1.3
Value 1960
Mod Slots 7

At first, you may be confused by the low damage of this pistol, but it is compensated by the accuracy and range of it. If you like laser weapons, you will definitely love this gun. Many pistols are not effective at long distances, except for this one. Another bonus is the fast reloading and high fire rate, which will help you fire volleys of lasers into crowds of enemies. You can get this pistol by looting the corpses of enemies or by opening containers with weapons that you find.

4. XM-2311

PHYS 76
Ammo .45 caliber
Mag 9
Fire Rate 67
Range 20
Accuracy 69.6%
Mass 1.60
Value 22345
Mod Slots 5

A great pistol with a lot of damage, best suited for mid-range combat. High fire rate and accuracy will help you kill several enemies before reloading. This weapon will last you long enough to find a worthy replacement. You can get it, as usual, from the corpses of enemies or in containers. In addition, you can also buy the XM-2311 in Akila if you visit Rawland Arms.

3. Skip Shot Kraken

PHYS 3
Ammo 6.5mm
Mag 25
Fire Rate 150
Range 20
Accuracy 69.6%
Mass 1
Value 2050
Mod Slots 6

You might have thought it was a joke because the damage from the gun is 3. Don’t jump to any conclusions, as this is a legendary pistol, and its damage is compensated by its 150 fire rate. In our opinion, the pistol is best suited for boarding enemy ships. You can board and rain bullets down on enemies, leaving them all dead. As this is a legendary weapon, it also has special effects that will give you significant advantages, namely:

  • Exterminator: Aliens take 30% more damage.
  • Poison: With a certain chance, it releases poisonous bullets that slowly kill enemies.
  • Skip Shot: Every fourth shot, instead of 1 bullet, fires 2.

The weapon is not so easy to get. To do this, you will need to visit Kreet, one of the moons in the Narion system. Once you land there, you’ll need to find a local research laboratory and a container with a Skip Shot Kraken in it.

2. Elegance

PHYS 48
Ammo .43 Ultramag
Mag 8
Fire Rate 109
Range 13
Accuracy 73.7%
Mass 1.5
Value 16090
Mod Slots 7

This is definitely the best pistol in the game that you can buy. Its high damage and fire rate will not give your enemies any chance. The pistol should be used in close combat to finish off enemies, so we recommend using it together with a shotgun if you like to spontaneously fly up to the enemy on a boost pack and shoot at close range. The weapon also has an additional effect, namely:

  • Shattering: It breaks through the armor of any strength.

Thus, you can easily fight against Starborn with their incredibly strong spacesuits. You can buy it in Akila City by visiting Rowland Arms. When purchased, the pistol is also endowed with additional modifications, such as:

  • Binary Trigger
  • Suppressor
  • Reflex Sight
  • High Powered
  • Penetrator Rounds

1. Keelhauler

PHYS 83
Ammo .43 MI
Mag 6
Fire Rate 140
Range 24
Accuracy 70.1%
Mass 3.5
Value 43245
Mod Slots 6

Pirates always have the best weapons, and Crimson Fleet proved it. This pistol is perfect in all aspects, so it’s no surprise if you use it instead of your main weapon. Like other legendary weapons, it will give you an advantage thanks to the effects that are applied to it:

  • Stagger: Gives you a small chance to stagger enemies.
  • Berserker: Deals more damage the less armor an enemy has.
  • Frenzy: Gives you a small chance to frenzy a target.

You can get this weapon after you join the Crimson Fleet faction. Among other things, the gun is also endowed with additional modifications, such as:

  • Long Barrel
  • Fully Automatic
  • Compensator
  • Recon Laser Sight

Now you know everything about the best pistols in available Starfield, so we hope you can pick the best one for your build.
