Nexon’s looter shooter The First Descendant features three types of currencies: Gold, Caliber, and Credits. Gold is used to pay for character research and Caliber can be spent on cosmetics for both characters and weapons. Meanwhile, Credits are mostly used to purchase special items aka the main material for unlocking new classes, the Codes and Stabilizers. Considering how important Credits are, you have to know how to obtain them when playing through The First Descendant.

In The First Descendant, you can earn Credits by clearing out missions and areas. Completing the last mission of an area in the Ingris continent map will liberate it from the Vulgus’s hands and reward you with Credits. But, do remember that the Credit rewards that you earn from clearing zones won’t be instantly deposited to your account. You need to claim them from the Mail menu first.

You might also be able to exchange Credits for Caliber in the full game.

At the moment, the best way to get Credits fast in The First Descendant is by running the Sterile Land Resource Defense Special Operation. This Mission will be unlocked once you have completed all the quests on the map. Access the Special Operation by interacting with the Information Retrieval terminal to the left of the Albion entrance Mailbox.

Once you’ve opened the Special Operation menu, pick the Sterile Land area. At the time of writing, during the Open Beta period, there is only the Resource Defense mission available in there. Pick it and press the Start Mission button. With Matchmaking on you’ll then be partnered with three other players. To acquire Credits (relatively) fast in The First Descendant, you don’t actually have to play the mission on Hard. But if you do want to tackle it, having max level Toxic Antibody and Toxic Resistance Maximization will help.

Sterile Land Resource Defense is considered the best way to farm Credits in The First Descendant, but there’s a caveat. This mission is pretty tough since your team has to survive the onslaught of hundreds of enemies in 21 waves! It should take you about 30-40 minutes to complete a single run on Normal.

Doing this mission is also useful to farm XP in order to level up your Descendants even in Normal mode. Just don’t forget to defeat every enemy you see because even if you didn’t finish the mission, it still counts toward your level progress.
