How to Level Up Battle Pass Fast in Hunt Showdown (Tide of Corruption)

Why doesn’t Crytek explain these things itself?

Hunt: Showdown’s newest event, ‘Tide of Corruption,’ is live, and with it comes a plethora of content. New weapons, pacts, and traits are just a few of the many things to look forward to! However, much of this content is locked behind the battle pass. Unlocking all of these exciting features is no easy feat either, but luckily you’ve come to the right place. Here is how to level up the battle pass fast in Hunt: Showdown ‘Tide of Corruption.’

It’s a shame, but simply playing the game as normal is not a viable way to rank up. Hunt: Showdown’s battle pass operates off of tokens called ‘event points,’ which is just a fancier way of saying ‘XP.’ Aside from the meager few you receive at the end of each match, there are two major ways to obtain event points:

  • Weekly Challenges: Depending on your in-game status, you have either three or four weekly challenge slots. In the main menu, head to the challenge menu to view your available quests. Be sure to pay attention to the difficulty ranking at the bottom of each challenge. A rating of 1 will be easy to complete but will reward a measly amount of event points. A rating of 4, however, will pose a serious threat while repaying you with a significant amount of points. This is by far the best way to earn event points in Hunt: Showdown’s current battle pass.
  • Defiled Altars: Scattered around the map, players will find scarecrow-esque objects called ‘Defiled Altars.’ Interacting with these objects will reward the player with six event points a piece. While this isn’t a very significant number of points, keep in mind that Defiled Altars are very abundant. Interacting with 10+ each round is not a hard thing to do. Defiled altars can also be destroyed from a distance via firearms or explosives, though for only three points.

And there you have it! There is plenty to unlock in Hunt: Showdown’s current battle pass, but luckily there is plenty of time left! The ‘Tide of Corruption’ event lasts until November 29th.
