This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Legion Arms are one of the primary tools players have in their arsenal to try and overcome the crushingly difficult obstacles that lie ahead of them in Lies of P. The Legion Arms that the player obtains throughout the game can fulfill a number of different purposes, whether it is defense, ranged attacks, or certain special damage types, but undoubtedly some of them are vastly more useful than others.

The Lies of P Legion Arms will primarily be ranked in terms of viability and versatility. The ease of obtaining a Legion Arm will also be taken into account since a weapon is only so useful if it’s only possible to use in a very limited amount of the actual game.

S Tier

Both of the Legion Arms in S-Tier provide a utility that none of the other Legion Arms, and in general none of the other Lies of P weapons, can provide. That fact, combined with the fact that these Legion Arms are extremely versatile and can be must-haves against certain bosses, make them essential for players to consider when approaching the game. Falcon Eyes is one of the only ranged options outside of Puppet String, doing a pretty hefty amount of damage for players willing to work with its admittedly sluggish timing. Aegis allows the player to do damage while blocking and is likely an essential Legion Arm for the parry-loving Soulslike players out there.

A Tier

The A-Tier consists of the two Legion Arms that, while not being the best picks in Lies of P, are still incredibly powerful and versatile. With Puppet String, it’s almost certainly a Legion Arm players will find themselves getting a lot of mileage out of since it’s the first Legion Arm players acquire past the Left Arm of Steel, and the range it provides to lead into combos or to separate an enemy from a mob is unmatched by any other weapon in the game. With the Flamberge, it’s essentially an increased version of the Fulminis, with better range and damage along with the ability to set many enemy types, including multiple bosses, on fire for great lingering damage.

B Tier

Both of the Legion Arms in this tier are fairly situational, and likely won’t be Legion Arms players find themselves using against the bosses in Lies of P very often. Both Pandemonium and Deus Ex Machina feel fairly specifically intended for the mobs of enemies players face off against in the lead-up to bosses, but in those situations, the B-Tier Legion Arms can shine. Particularly with upgrades, this is a tier that players will want to keep their eyes on if there’s a section with an overwhelming number of enemies that need to be taken care of.

C Tier

Similar to the B Tier, the one Legion Arm in the C Tier is fairly situational. The Fulminis does find some utility, especially when upgraded, as its electric damage is particularly potent against puppets and can stick around and do lingering damage for some time. Where this Legion Arm falls apart, though, is in how often it can feel worthless. Not only is it basically only useful against puppets, but it simultaneously only connects at a very close range. In a game where timing attacks and oftentimes minding distance can be everything, the near point-blank range the Legion Arm in this tier requires just makes it feel like too much of a hassle most of the time, except in the case of players who really want to put the time in with something like an electricy-heavy build in mind.

D Tier

This tier is saved specifically for the Legion Arm that players will start the game with, the Left Arm of Steel. At the beginning of Lies of P, this Legion Arm will serve its purpose, doing solid melee damage and getting players comfortable with how to use this special extra weapon at their disposal. The moment the players get access to further Legion Arms, however, there basically stops being any reason to continue using the one in this tier. It’s fine for what it is, but it’s quickly replaced and will never be worth looking back at once it’s gone.
