The spooky season has hitย Destiny 2ย with the Festival of the Lost, a new Event Card filled with Halloween-themed prizes. Take advantage ofย the festivitiesย and play on terrifying playlists. There are challenges you can complete for theย Festival of the Lost, including the Heads Will Roll challenge forย Destiny 2. The challenge requires you to slay 100 Headless Ones in the Haunted Sectors playlist. However, there’s a bug in the game that is making the Heads Will Roll not work inย Destiny 2.

Headless Ones are purple enemies with bright heads. Typically, Destiny 2 will keep track of how many Headless Ones you defeat in the Haunted Sectors for the Heads Will Roll challenge. But the game is glitched and isn’t displaying players’ kill counter.

Nevertheless, Bungie offered a simple workaround for players. The game will start counting your Headless Ones kills after you follow these simple steps.

  • Unlock the Legend difficulty setting for Haunted Sectors by completing the Classic Carving quest for Season of the Witch.
  • Defeat Headless Ones on the Legendary version of the Haunted Sectors, and the game will count the progress made for the challenge.

How To Complete Heads Will Roll Challenge

It’s a simple solution but requires you to play through the title on one of the hardest difficulties. Team up with your friends and play online multiplayer to make the Haunted Sectors playlist a lot easier to accomplish.

You may end up having to play through the playlist a few times before you collect enough kills to complete the Heads Will Roll challenge in Destiny 2. You will be rewarded with some worthwhile prizes:

  • Tormentor Mask x1
  • Legendary Shards x25
  • Event Ticket x1

If Legendary mode for the Haunted Sectors proves too difficult for you and your friends, then you can wait for Bungie to fix the issue on their end.
