Have you played Sea of Thieves before? Then you’ll be no stranger to Pirate Cannons in Fortnite OG! With the arrival of Chapter 1 Seasons 7 and 8 in Fortnite OG, Pirate Cannons are now available. And just like in Sea of Thieves, these vehicles allow you to cannonball your opponent, as well as launch yourself or your teammates into the air. There are 7 different locations where you can find Pirate Cannons in Fortnite OG, here’s where to find them.

Fatal Fields Mountain Top
This location is at the top of the mountain between Shifty Shafts and Fatal Fields. You can find 4 Pirate Cannons in the Pirate Camp here. The location itself is not a huge hit, you can find a decent amount of loot for yourself here and play around with Pirate Cannons.
Retail Row Pirate Camp
Retail Row is a popular choice when it comes to landing, hence you should always be cautious when dropping here. Other players most likely drop down to the center of Retail Row, but there is a high chance you will bump into them at some point. You will also find 4 Pirate Cannons in this Fortnite OG location.
Greasy Grove Pirate Camp
Greasy Grove Pirate Camp is located near the center of the Tilted Tower and Greasy Grove. You will be able to see this Pirate Camp when you check out your map since these camps cover a relatively large area.
You can loot Greasy Grove first then come to the Pirate Camp or vice versa. There are a respectable amount of buildings in Greasy Grove, so there will definitely be other players around. However, these players won’t be as skilled as many Tilted Towers or Pleasant Park players.
Loot Lake Pirate Camp
The next Pirate Camp where you can find Pirate Cannon in Fortnite OG is what I call the Loot Lake Pirate Camp. You can find 4 different Pirate Cannons just like in all other locations. There is pretty much nothing here outside of this Pirate Camp, so you will be safe if you are going to drop here just to examine Pirate Cannons.
Pleasant Park Pirate Camp
This Pirate Camp is located just left of Pleasant Park, all you need to do here is to follow the footpath in the woods. You can visit here after you drop in the Snobby Shores, or you can directly loot Pleasant Park if you are confident enough. I’m saying this because Pleasant Park players are playing Fortnite OG a little too much.
Haunted Hills Mountain Pirate Camp
This place might be a great landing area for you since you can find a reasonable amount of loot here. Apart from that there are tons of POIs that you can loot in the vicinity.
Lastly, this place might be just fine because there is an actually X-4 Stormwing spawn point in here. So, you can loot the Pirate Camp and hop on your plane to escape.
How To Use Pirate Cannon in Fortnite OG
There are 2 main use cases of Pirate Cannons in Fortnite OG. One is shooting a cannonball at your enemies, and the second one is launching yourself or your teammates from the Pirate Cannon.
- To shoot a cannonball, hold the Pirate Cannon from the back side. Then aim and shoot with your Fire button.
- To launch yourself into the air, step into the cannonball hole. Aim and launch yourself with the Fire button.
