Can Lethal Company run on a Mac?

Lethal Company has taken gaming by storm and Mac users want to know if they can get in on the action. The co-op horror game about scraping on abandoned moons is currently available on Steam in early access, with no confirmation of coming to other platforms at the moment. While it’s not the most graphically intensive game around, it’s pretty rare for games to get ported to Mac in general, especially early access titles. So for Mac users looking to play Lethal Company, it looks pretty bleak at the moment.

Currently, Lethal Company does not run on Mac OS. The game entered early access in October, so developer Zeekerss has largely been focused on making improvements to the game. It will likely be awhile before the game is ported to other platforms, at which point consoles are likely to happen well before Mac, which might not happen at all. On the Steam page, the developer stated that the plan is for Lethal Company to be in early access for six months, although that could change if the game isn’t ready for a full launch. It likely wouldn’t be until after that the porting process happens. At the moment, Zeekerss has not discussed any potential ports for Lethal Company.

Most games don’t get ported Mac regardless, although Lethal Company does have the benefit of having low system requirements. While it’s not an official method nor is it guaranteed to work, Mac’s can run a decent amount of games via Bootcamp. Using Bootcamp, you can install Windows on a Mac, although when it comes to running software your mileage may vary. This process also requires you to buy Windows and isn’t reliable, but it is a possible work around, especially if Lethal Company never gets ported to Mac.
